Heading out into the countryside this winter is the perfect tonic to a year that has been filled with doom and gloom.  The British countryside in the winter is a place to really unwind, breathe in lungfuls of fresh air and let your usa map with attractions guide mind relax and get away from it all.

To spend time in the wild woods, the Forest of Dean is perfect. The expanse of ancient woodland comes alive with reds and golds during the Autumn months and in the Winter a sleepy stillness sets in – the best place to go to be alone with your thoughts.

Head to Wales if you want enchanted landscapes – the four waterfalls walk in the Brecon Beacons is a sometimes challenging but very rewarding walk – scramble through mossy stones and forests, as you come across four of the regions waterfalls.
